Aston Villa are on a mission with their new manager Steven Gerrard making marks in the transfer market that few would believe was possible but good relations in the game should not be faulted.

A lot said about the addition of Philippe Coutinho, but against Manchester United you got to see for yourself what type of transfer this could become.

We all know how well Philippe Coutinho adapted to Premier League action when arriving at Liverpool, becoming one of their most important players and one that Jurgen Klopp was desperate to keep at Anfield.

To be able to put on a Barcelona kit and represent them in football is a dream for footballers and everyone understands him when he decided to move and take on a dream. The move to Barca never turned out as well as Coutinho himself would have liked but now a new chapter will be written.

The start at Aston Villa could not have been better with one assist and a goal and coming back from a 2-0 down was a phenomenal achievement and the influence of the Brazilian was seen at once.

Of course early doors but the start could not have been better for the 29 year old Brazilian ready to show everyone what a brilliant player he is.

The key for Coutinho is to stay fit and being able to take every chance he get to score goals and assist and upgrade his team mates surely being superior at Aston Villa coming to potential and talent.

Next for Aston Villa is Everton away at Goodison Park and would be perfect for the former Liverpool player to return and hopefully get a positive result against a team that looks in difficulties after sacking their manager Rafael Benitez.
