Jack Charlton RIP!

Former England World Cup winner and Republic of Ireland manager Jack Charlton has died. The older brother of Sir Bobby Charlton left us at the age of 85. A real hero of many footballing events, and one of three former Leeds United legends to die in a very short period of time with also Trevor Cherry and Norman Hunter leaving us as well.

His career as a player was solily spent went Leeds United, playing at Elland Road from 1952 to 1973, with a record tally of 629 league games. Representing England not only in the 1966 World Cup, but also four years later in Mexico adding up 35 caps and scoring 6 goals.

Akinfenwa and Klopp message

Adebayo Akinfenwa is a lower football league phenomena and a life long Liverpool fan, showing fantastic happiness when getting a congratulation message on his phone from Jurgen Klopp. At the age of 38 he won promotion with Wycombe Wanderers and will play in the Championship next season.

He is one of those fantastic football stories, not ment to be, but then it happens after a long life in professional football not only playing for Wycombe Wanderers but representing a number of other clubs during the way. The message from Jurgen Klopp ment the World to Akinfenwa as he celebrated the promotion.

McGoldrick with Blades double

Eddie McGoldrick scored twice when Sheffield United won 3-0 at home v. Chelsea. A surprise result with two goals from McGoldrick and one from McBurnie. Blades are flying under Chris Wilder and shocking every fan of football fighting for a place in Europe.

Manchester United are another club in form at the moment, but struggled against Southampton giving away two points in the end with a great push from Saints gaining that vital point at Old Trafford.
