Marc Guehi had an impact at early age, being part of that England u.17 World Cup winning team. Early on he showed special promise. Stiff competition in the defensive line at Chelsea made him a loan player. He joined Swansea in two periods. This was before his full move to Crystal Palace in 2021.
He became an instant hit at Selhurst Park. He made his England debut in 2022 and has since been capped 22 times. He looks a finished article at the age of 24.
There are a number of clubs chasing his signature. His contract at Crystal Palace runs out in June 2026. To see him sold in this summer’s transfer window looks something that could happen. Spurs and Chelsea are the main contenders, but not rule out Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Barcelona. Man Utd would be a contender, but they do look far from the table this time.
"When Thomas Tuchel is picking his defenders for his first England side, to face Albania, Palace’s Marc Guehi should be the first name on the teamsheet – he reminds me of Roy Keane"

Crystal Palace have attempted to create a contract for him. However, there has been no real breakthrough. The player hopes to join a team not struggling at the wrong end of the table.
Thomas Tuchel could also put pressure on Guehi to join a club with more profile. Competing in Europe will be a benefit. Tuchel prefers his best players to compete at the highest level. This approach shapes them into players capable of winning titles.
