Jordan Henderson is currently playing his football with Ajax. He is still one of the most reliable midfielders in the game, at the age of 34. It was a strange move to see him join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq in 2023. Just months later, he relocated back to Europe. Again, it was a surprise to see him joining Ajax. However, it is still a move to understand. He would probably like to add more trophies to his cabinet.
Henderson completed 360 league appearances for Liverpool before his move out, scoring 29 goals. He earlier played for Sunderland, an during that time also out on loan at Coventry.
Jordan Henderson do have a nice catalog of trophies from his time with Liverpool. He has won all the domestic titles, also a winner of Champions League. You are special with such achievements. In his first season with Ajax he finished 5th. So far in this one, they are the leaders with 5 points down to second-placed PSV.

He was seen as a role model in the game. His managers trusted him for club and country. It all fell as a surprise when he decided to move on and join Saudi club Al-Ettifaq. After 17 league matches, it became clear. Jordan Henderson had his eyes on a move back to Europe. He joined Ajax in January 2024. The move was of course welcomed, but still a surprise to see him join a Dutch club.
Since his arrival, Ajax are back at their best level. They are at the top of the Eresdivisie. They are also through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Ajax are playing Eintracht Frankfurt.
On the 30th of January 2025, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano provided a somewhat surprising confirmation. He posted on his X account that Jordan Henderson had an agreement to join Monaco. Jordan Henderson is one important player in the Ajax set up, on the field in 19 league games this season.
This looks good for Ajax, still possible for Jordan Henderson to win two major trophies this season. They are out of the cup, losing to AZ in the round of 16. Jordan Henderson is under contract at Ajax until June 2026. However, recent seasons have shown that Jordan Henderson can be unpredictable.
