Pascal Gross (33) had a special route to the top of the football pyramid, leaving Hoffenheim in 2011 to get more game time and first team football, with a move to Karlsruher to achieve that goal. After just a year with KSC he joined FC Ingolstadt. In the 2014–15 season, he played a vital role in the promotion to the Bundesliga as he scored 7 goals and assisted 23.
Gross scored five league goals for FC Ingolstadt in the 2016–17 season as they were relegated from the Bundesliga. He created more chances than any other player in the league that season, a total of 95 chances.
Brighton made some good scouting when they decided to pay £3million for his services back in 2017, as life continued in special progress during his time at The Amex. Gross had played at international level up to U.20 level, so his qualities were seen at an early age.
He became a significat signing for The Seagulls as he made his mark in Premier League, beeing an ever present in his first Premier League season. He was at The Amex for a total 7 seasons, playing a total of 261 competitive games, scoring 32 goals.
