Despite a difficult start this season for Everton, Sean Dyche looks to have found gold, when signing the Senegal international from Marseille for a fee of €35.00m.
Ndiaye had previous for his move to Everton, played for Marseille for a season after joining the French club from Sheffield United. He played 30 league games in his single season in France. Sheffield United brought the player up, after he had joined The Blades as a youth prospect.
Born in France, he had his upbringing in football at home city club Rouen. His moves in football started early as he had played for Marseille, Dakar Sacre-Cæur and Boreham Wood before the age of 17.
He joined Sheffield United from Boreham Wood in 2019. He had to wait a bit to be seen on the full first team scene, making his debut as a late substitute in a 5–0 Premier League loss to Leicester City on 14 March 2021. Before this he had a loan spell at Hyde United, playing non-league football.
Ndiaye was born in France to a Senegalese father and French mother. He debuted with the Senegal national team in a 3–1 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification win over Benin. In November 2022, he was named in the final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He appeared as a substitute in Senegal’s second group match, assisting Bamba Dieng’s goal as the team beat hosts Qatar 3–1. He went on to start the team’s third group match against Ecuador and round of 16 loss to England.
