Harry Kane (30) made his move from Spurs to Bayern Munich last summer, to find new inspiration. Often by media described as a desperate act to be in a team that wins silverware, especially on the home arena, but he still has to wait on his first major trophy.
Bayern Munich face Wolfsburg at home today to try to grab that 2nd spot, being 3rd at this moment, behind winner Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart, passing Bayern yesterday after their final game, winning 1-0 away to Augburg. A draw will be enough for Harry Kane and his Bayern to get back in 2nd spot.
Harry Kane will undoubtly be looking forward to this years Euro competition hopefully going all the way as captain of England. He is the hardest competitor for trophies, playing for England and Bayern Munich will hopefully see him lift major trophies in the end.
At the age of 30, he should be around at both the domestic and international stage of football for the next 4 years, hopefully not tempted to go to any secondary league to pick up an even heavier monthly pay check, looking fra from such a person and at Bayern Munich they often have players in the age group between 30 and 34, not worrying on age at that point.
His tally of goals and assists are up there with the best, and he will continue to score goals and deliver assists as he has done this season and of course in all the prior campaigns at Spurs.
The job is to get up there at the very highest, as Harry Kane has been on the podium for the runners-up medals a number of times, both at international and domestic level.
To look at this trophy cabinet, you will find two runners-up medals from EFL Cup finals, 2014/15 and 2020/21. He is also a runner-up from the 2018/19 Champions League final, defeated by Liverpool. Not to forget his England medals, a bronze from Nations League and the silver from the last Euro’s, losing to Italy in the final at Wembley.
Again a trophyless season on a domestic level, but just around the corner you have a new opportunity as England comes to Germany being among the favourites to lift the trophy this time, having both Harry Kane and Jude Bellngham in their line-up.
