Thomas Frank must be ever so pleased to see Ivan Toney back in his line-up, as he can build on the England forward and set up his team as he would like it to be.
Since Ivan Toney returned, he played in the PL games vs. Spurs away (2-3) and Forest at home (3-2). He has scored 2 goals in 2 games, one defeat and one win, as they most certainly will secure a good position coming to the end of the season.
He is an iconic figure for Brentford, and the player that you first think off when hearing the name of the club. The Bees will not be the same without him. We have seen in the past with other pivotal players, watching Jack Grealish being the same icon at Aston Villa, Kalvin Phillips at Leeds and of course Francesco Totti at Roma as well as Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and George Best at Man Utd.
The major clubs in England will be chasing the £100milliion rated Ivan Toney in the summer, with Arsenal said to be the only club to be able to come up with a possible transfer special, as he is linked with a move to The Emirates.
Ivan Toney joined Brentford from Peterborough in August 2020, the fee believed to be £5million with add ons, reaching £10million if every possible point in the deal went through. His tally at Brentford looks very good, 113 games and 65 goals.
The major question is, will the England one cap wonder, become such a big hit with a club not playing to his strengths and just having him as one for the team, in an environment far from Brentford life and living.
