Arsenal and Chelsea are said to keep a close eye on Mykhaylo Mudryk. So who is this 22 year old forward playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. He made his full international debut last year and has been on show in eight games for Ukraine so far.

His abilities is seen and 10 goals in 30 appearances might not be enough to convince the big guns of Premier League.

Arsenal looks qualified to pin point the attributes needed to go all the way as they have been clever in developing the next generation of top players, and looks the best mix of young and proving players.

Arsenal looks front runners, but as we are in the January transfer window, no move has yet to happen, but still a total of 44 appearances across all competitions for Shakhtar have delivered 12 goals and 17 assists – with the current campaign seeing a huge step-up in productivity compared the 21/22.

Ukrainian Premier League and Champions League games have seen ten struck and eight helpers so far this season, with just the two goals and seven assists in the last campaign – crucially, none of those came in European competition.

Sitting in the 97th percentile of players for dribbles completed, per FBRef, outlines his close ball control, quick pace and one-on-one ability – another eye-catching characteristic to go alongside the actual production.

There’s a step up in quality when it comes to the Premier League, but Mudryk’s Champions League showings offer plenty of encouragement.

Arsenal fans looks eager to get this player in, and would love to see him at the club. So far there are talks ongoing according to Fabrizio Romano, but as he says in his comment, things are far from a done deal.
