PSG and Lionel Messi looking in on a new season as Champions League is highest and finest priority

Other clubs have made the headlines as PSG prepares for new season. A tour to Japan is on as they shape their team into the best possible setting. New manager is Christophe Galtier and a name that are not grabbing the highest and top headlines.

In their recent pre-season game vs. Kawasaki in Japan, Messi, Neymar and Mpappe started as the trio on top and in that 2-1 Messi scored the opener after 32 minutes.

Since last season we have seen a number changes taking place and of course a few of the prominent stars are settling in with the likes of Messi and Ramos getting more used to French football as well as working hard on their fitness and building strenghts.

Looking at the transfers in and out you have two major sigings in Vitinha (Porto) and Nuno Mendes (Sporting). Both players joines from Portugal and it will be interesting to see how this will form the team as the midfield and defence will benefit from these two joining.

Among the departures you Angel Di Maria moving to Juventus on a free transfer. The 34 year old Argentian joined PSG from Manchester United in 2015. Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has also been sold and returned to West Ham spending last season on loan at London Stadium.

Another goalkeeper Marcin Bulka has joined Nice as well as saying goodbye to youngster Xavi Simons who has joined PSV Eindhoven.

The team looks stronger and the major goal is to get their hands on that Champions League trophy and build on their domestic dominance again ending as champions of Ligue1.

PSG will play two more games in Japan before returning to play Nantes in the Trophèe des Champions as a final preperation game before meeting Clermont in their league season opener.
