Not unknown at all of course, but what a player his is Marco Reus, and so much needed at Borussia Dortmund.
The number 11, the one that joined from Borussia Monchengladbach in “11” is at his peak at the moment, and so far it looks as if Dortmund will hold on to their Bundesliga lead and lift the championship later this year.
At 29, capped 37 times, he has also long and for all established himself in a German national team that has been through a bit of struggle, and hopefully Reus will be of importance to the restructure in that recent fall for the Germans.
Reus is born in Dortmund and has reassured fans of his club that he will never join Bayern Munich, something a number of former stars has done and in a way ubalanced the rivalry between the two giants.
Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski both left Dortmund to join Bayern Munich and in a way those two quality players made it difficult to find the right replacements and again made Bayern the team to trust in both Champions League and Bundesliga.
Reus was signed by Jurgen Klopp, the now successful Liverpool manager and he might be keen on a reunion, but again Dortmund is where Reus belongs and if he is lucky this season he can again lift the pokal.
Dortmund was champions of Germany and won the Bundesliga in 2011 and 2012, and has also been in the top since then, but Bayern the hegemony since, and of course are chasing Dortmund also this season, but a terrible start will see it difficult to be able to catch Marco Reus and his team.
Still only six points between the two, but we all hope that Dortmund will win it in the end as we all are strong believers in that happening.
