England might be on a great trip at the moment, reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup. Gareth Southgate has set his mind on bringing forward young talent, and of course that’s fantastic, but in search for a major title, will he be able to manage without a group of experienced, previous capped players.
Theo Walcott has since his move to Everton flourished and become a force for Marco Silva in his attempt to bring the Toffeemen back to the top of English football. Walcott has come in the shadows of Richarlison but again a player to count.
Daniel Sturridge is back in the Liverpool team playing well and hopefully he can get a run of games that will see him as a future contender for Gareth Southgate and his England set up. Sturridge at his best is one player to count.
Joe Hart might be a name to reconsider, now doing his job at Burnley under Sean Dyche and hopefully be able to help The Clarets in their climb back to their best. Hart has struggled in his last two years, despite keeping his place as England number one during his loan spell in Serie A with Torino. Watching Hart you can surely see that he still is a quality goalkeeper.
Nathaniel Clyne currently out of the first team picture at Liverpool, could he again be part of the set up, the same with the trio at Southampton, Charlie Austin, Ryan Bertrand and Danny Ings. Players who at their best surely will be close to a team selected by Gareth Southgate.
West Ham is now the new home of Jack Wilshire and despite not being totally happy with the start of the season is he one to consider. Mark Noble, never been playing for England A, but capped 20 times at U.21 level. Will he at the age of 31 still be one to consider.
Michael Keane still very young but in a bit of a struggle since his move from Burnley to Everton last season. He has four caps to his name, but at this moment looks a bit out of the picture, but still a player to count.
Surprisingly Gareth Southgate is still on an experimental path calling up uncapped Lewis Dunk from Brighton to his recent squad, also Ben Chilwell, the Leicester City one capped youngster is taken in despite Bertrand available.
