It was around ten years ago I started my first full time job post playing football, Luke Chadwick explains. I was incredibly nervous but also incredibly proud of myself. It was within an Academy of a professional football club as a full time coach. I was so suprised and happy when I was offered the role and thought it would be something I would do forever.
However it wasn’t long before I started questioning whether I’d made the right decision. It certainly wasn’t what I was expecting and quickly made me feel very flat. The working environment was average at best and the culture of the organisation was not one of growth and development. I knew being part of it long term wasn’t right for me.
But out of fear of the unknown I coasted along for around 3 years but it got to a point where without the passion and belief in what I was doing I had to put my brave boy pants on and step away! And that’s what I did and it’s without doubt one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now timing is everything and it turned out to be perfect timing!
It coincided with my good friends James and Jonny starting out on the franchise journey with the Football Fun Factory and after just a couple of conversations I was completely sold and became a proud franchise owner!

I had a new lease of life, I was now responsible for my own destiny. I had more balance and autonomy on what I was doing with the full support of people I had complete trust in.
The rest as they say is history!!
A fantastic story from Luke Chadwick. He had a life at Man Utd with David Beckham. He later played for West Ham, Norwich and Stoke. He represented England at U.21 level. Nice to see a former footballer finding his through self in such a great project. Football Fun Factory is an absolute top adventure.
