Kjetil Knutsen has been known and a well established coach in Norwegian football. His progress and work at Bodo Glimt is something who have been followed closely over years.
News now are that he is also getting more and more attention from abroad. His work and wonders will be significant. This is especially true if Bodo Glimt manage to reach the final of the Europa League.
The interest from clubs abroad would certainly be attractive, but at this point the work should continue at Bodo Glimt.
Kjetil Knutsen have a current deal that is a good one and only a top club approach would see him move. The 56 year old has no significant player career behind him. He is one who taken steps to the top of football on his own without any favours.
He had done a good job at his previous club Aasane from Bergen. He took the club up to the second level of Norwegian football. Instead of getting honoured for keeping this minor club in the tier, he was sacked.
He then moved to Bodo Glimt in 2016, started as an assistant. He grew to become the first team manager a year later. The rest is history.

Kjetil Knutsen has an approach to the game that is very analytical. He has a clever eye on the tactical side of football. He is very systematical and part of a schooling that would see him very much in line with previous top Norwegian managers such as Egil “Drillo” Olsen and Nils Arne Eggen.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a known Norwegian coach. He has a good track record being in charge of foreign clubs. Stale Solbakken is another notable coach from Norway with similar achievements. They have a professional playing career to call on, something Kjetil Knutsen cannot. So a move out would of course be based on what he has done at Bodo Glimt.
Sven Goran Eriksson comes to mind as a similar character. He took his steps from IFK Goteborg to become a top class manager at the very highest level. He made a special and clever move when he decided to become the head coach of Benfica. He took a job he knew could give him a chance to win more trophies. It also allowed him to gain better knowledge of a world he did not know.
Moving to a better league could be a mistake. Taking over a team with little or no chance to fight for trophies would be unwise. Kjetil Knutsen should be careful in his pick, and not be flirting with clubs in a relegation battle, but take a more trusted route to build success when he decide to move.
He has been linked with a potential move to Spurs. A job that would of course be tempting. If he defeats them in the semis, his name will possibly be on Daniel Levy’s book. Moving to Spurs might not be ideal for a man who knows nothing about what that job would be like.
