On July 2, 2024, Jorgen Strand Larsen signed for Wolves on an initial loan deal with a €30 million obligation to buy. He scored an impressive six goals in his first twelve games for the club, but has got one more, but also being out injured for a while.
So far a struggling season for Wolves, but they do have some fascinating talent inside their camp, and hopefully things will turn good again for this phenomenal football club.
Strand Larsen has been a player with a lot of promise for a long time. The 1.93m forward has seen his pregression from an early age, moving from his hometown club Kvik Halden to Sarpsborg, becoming a top flight footballer as a teenager. He made his debut with Sarpsborg in a cup match, where he scored a hat trick in a 10-1 win against Drøbak-Frogn. Larsen later made his league debut on 21 May 2017 as a sub against Vålerenga. He was later loaned to the AC Milan youth team.
He then made a move to Dutch Eresdivisie club Groningen, making nice progression, scoring 24 goals in 67 league games. The move to Groningen was a good one, giving him opportunities to play regularly and become a proven striker at a certain level.

His next move came in August 2022, when he signed for La Liga club Celta for a fee of €11 million. On 2 September, Larsen contributed an assist on his debut, a 3–0 win over Cádiz in La Liga. He scored his first goal in the competition on 13 January 2023, in the 68th minute of a 1–1 draw against Villarreal. In the 2023–24 season, he became the top scorer for his club in La Liga by scoring 13 goals. During his time at Celta, he was affectionately known as Xurxo, the Galician form of his name.
He is now likely to join Wolves on permanent deal in the summer, seeing his last goal scored in a 2-2 draw with Spurs away on the 29th of December, 2024. Strand Larsen is currently out with an injury and hasn’t played since the 25th of January. He is expected to return in the next week or, hoping of course to be able to contribute for his club at a very crucial part of the season, seeing Wolves just floating above the relegation zone.
