Christian Eriksen will of course be part of the Danish squad when entering this summer’s Euro 2024, the only thing that could see him miss the tournament are injuries. After his dramatic end to the previous Euro competition, he has returned to football in the best way possible.
He got his career back on track with Brentford, showing great vision and capacity during the 2021/22 season, helping The Bees to a great finish and ending 13th in Premier League.
He was a fantastic player at Tottenham and shined under Mauricio Pochettino, reaching the Champions League final, being part of a iconic Spurs side with special skills and combinations.
This season, injuries has stopped the progress and his place in the Man Utd is not safe with younger players such as Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Mason Mount all being in competition.
Rumours about a return to Ajax has been seen, but that could be one of the last options on his list of adventures to take part in if he is to leave Old Trafford. The 32 year old still have a few years left and hopefully he will like to finish at the highest possible level.
There will of course be interest from a great number of clubs and rumours are that Serie A could be an option, not ruling out Bundesliga either. FC Copenhagen is also said to have an eye on this and of course returning to Denmark cannot be ruled out.
His current contract at Manchester United runs to June 2025, but if he wants out and the club no longer is interested in his services, he is said to be able to leave on a free, so there will surely be great interest for his signature.
