Arsenal ended their last campaign in 8th position. and the new season is close with a new approach new colours and also a group of players trying to take the next step with Mikel Arteta ringing a number of changes.
So with that in mind a new third kit is launched in navy blue. This kit will be on show for the opener of the season playing newly promoted Brentford away. The Adidas Arsenal 2021-22 third jersey is predominantly navy (Mystery Blue). The shirt is combined with a turquoise graphic and white / red logos. The Adidas logo is two-colored, just as on all other Adidas Elite third kits. Dark blue shorts and socks completes it all.
The kit was launched today on the 10th of August, and we do believe that the blue lightening inspiration from the 90’s could of course remind everyone of a great period in this clubs history.
Embed from Getty ImagesThere are a few new faces in the Arsenal squad with Ben White from Brighton a major move of £50million. The England defender will most certainly be on show in the season opener. Two other new faces are Albert Sambi Kolonga, coming in from Anderlecht. The 21 year old midfielder will most certainly be involved this season. A third player has also arrived, left back alternative 21 year old Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
There are players still not certain on their future at Arsenal among those Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson among those. There are other clubs interested in the trio and as we all know competition for places at Arsenal will there during a long season.
David Silva is one of a number of players released and the Brazilian will in some way be missed, there also questions about the future of Willian who might also be out when the transfer window close.
The squad of players are of course strong, with many players on international duty during the summer, being inolved in The Euro’s and The Olmpics, so to put any big value regarding results in pre-season v. Hibs, Rangers, Chelsea and Tottenham would be difficult.
A number of players are also back from loan spells and it will interesting to see how the team will look like as the season moves along with of course a number of alternatives to chose from both in player material and system of choice.
Embed from Getty ImagesPierre-Emerick Aubameyang will of course this season also be important and if he can stay fit it will be an obvious effect on the table position. He is the key player still and hopefully Mikel Arteta will be able to play him as much as he likes becuase his goals and presence will be vital for the season result.
The traditional first kit as we know it will always be that red and white. The yellow and blue has also a long tradition in Arsenal folklore with the todays launch of the blue third kit makes it a total range of fantastic kits to chose from.
Mikel Arteta needs to improve the performance as Arsenal should push for a higher position in Premier League, be closer to the silveware in both the EFL and FA Cup, and of course this season will not see European football at The Emirates, something very unusual for The Gunners.
