Crystal Palace, not only Zaha and Hodgson, the inside look from outside

Crystal Palace has since Roy Hodgson took over been a bit about him and his extraordinary work being able to find a good mix with a typical underdog. The Eagles have an average attendance of 25.000 plus on their home games and they are working on plans to grow their fanbase and build a new and facelifted stadium at Selhurst Park.

So what will we expect from the South Londoners this season in their blue and red jerseys being seen as a difficult opponent, especially at home. You have Wilfried Zaha and you have Roy Hodgson, and of course how will the £50million sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United work out.

The fact that a player with only 42 league appearances can have a price of that amount makes you wonder where this World is heading, but again he is a bright talent the 21 year old right-back wonder. A number of other players have also left, without any significant signings yet to be announced.

Roy Hodgson might leave it late in the window and of course with that cash in hand he can find a number of good additions to his squad, who in all are a competitive lot. We will hopefully see an improvement and as always a solid defense is the key in their plan.

So far no new faces, but rumours are out there, linking former right back Nathanial Clyne with a move back to the club. Clyne, still only 28, made his name in football with The Eagles and later made the most of his game at Southampton, attracting Liverpool to sign him for a fee of £12.5million. Clyne looks far from a place in the Liverpool team and could be a good option to fill the gap after Wan-Bissaka. A troubled time with injuries can be a burden, but he played 14 league games on loan at Bournemouth last season and at his best we all know that he has England caps to his name, 14 in all.

Chile international Paulo Diaz and Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne are two other names mentioned as possible addition in this summer window.

Players such as Andros Townsend, Christian Benteke and German international Max Meyer are all quality through and through and if they can stay fit all of them will be of great importance. Scott Dann, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins are other quality players in the squad that knows the Premier League in and out.

Last seasons 12th place might be the goal also this season and avoid any talk of a relegation as they are preparing as well as they can for opener against Everton at home on the 10th of August. This will be the 7th consecutive season for Crystal Palace in the top flight and they look as if they have quality enough to keep themselves up.
