Swedish international Alexander Isak in transition as Newcastle forward said to be interested in Arsenal move

Alexander Isak has so far this season played a total of 30 games and scored 16 goals for Newcastle. In a difficult season for The Magpies there is no doubt that the Swedish interinational has taken huge steps and looks to a potential move. He is on 44 caps for Sweden, a major tally for a 24 year old.

Isak is said to have broken the silence on his future at Newcastle and is in no way counting out a move in the summer, seeing Arsenal as one of the main clubs to be an interesting option.

Trevor Francis, the UK’s first £1 million player, died earlier this week at the age of 69, he was of course one in a million

Francis is best-remembered for his stints at Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City, becoming renowned as one of the greatest footballers of his generation. The glittering career of Trevor Francis reached its zenith on 30 May 1979, when he scored the winning goal in the European Cup final, gifting Forest their first continental trophy.

He’d miss the 1980 final due to injury, but he still played a role in Brian Clough’s men winning consecutive European Cups and the 1979 European Super Cup. To achieve those feats with a club like Forest seems impossible nowadays, but Francis embodied everything that was magical about 20th-century football.

Jordan Henderson, Jamie Carragher, Liverpool and more discussed as major “red” gives his honest views clear

ex-Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder, Didi Hamann, makes his views on the recent transfer business his former clubs have been involved in recent weeks.

The German pointed out that the signings of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister may not be enough for Liverpool’s midfield if Jordan Henderson and Fabinho depart for Saudi Arabia. Newcastle United have recently bought Sandro Tonali from AC Milan for £55m, and Hamann now believes the Magpies have one of the best midfields in the Premier League.
