We all remember his fantastic passes and goals for Man Utd, how English football bloomed in the 90’s, with the Red Devils on top of the pops, winning Premier League’s and Champions League trophies.
Then in 2003 making a move to the mighty Real Madrid, winning both the Supercopa and La Liga while at Bernabeu. He left Spain and Madrid in 2007 to be “the name” to again give MLS a new and fresh start. He joined Los Angeles Galaxy and of course bringing enormous publicity to the course.
The Beckham’s is a househould “world wide” brand, also having his wife Victoria by his side, the former Spice Girl, also having the paparazzies close, one celibrity that has kept her looks and still after 25 years stay tuned with the modern game.
David Beckham in some funny way, just as George Best, has kept himself actual every minute since his breakthrough at Man Utd, keeping some sort of glory that makes him a bit above everyone.
During the days at LA Galaxy he was back in Europe, having two loan spells with AC Milan. He laster joined PSG, keeping himself in company with “the stars” as the clubs do have a grand following and of course no coincidence that he ended up playing for those clubs.
He quit the game as a player in 2013, but had his eyes on keeping a high profile in football, as on 5 February 2014, MLS announced that Beckham had exercised his option to buy a MLS expansion team for $25 million, which he had received as part of the contract he signed with the LA Galaxy in 2007.
The ownership group, led by David Beckham, originally hoped the Miami-based team would begin play in 2016 or 2017. After delays getting a stadium deal completed, MLS announced in January 2018 that the team had been approved, and would likely begin play in 2020. The team name and crest were revealed on 5 September. Club Internacional de Futbol Miami – more commonly known as, Inter Miami. The club made its MLS debut on 1 March 2020 with a 1–0 away loss to Los Angeles.
The Beckham US plan of soccer is one clever as he has build stone by stone and at this point bringing in the top names of the game, and the addition of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will of course bring attention, though both players are over their best periods in fotball, they can still perform at this level and hopefully get Inter Miami to the platform they need to establish themselves as a top club of the MLS.
David Beckham is also involved at Salford City, being a co-owner of the League Two club. Since he invested in the club in 2019, they have taken steps, getting promoted to the EFL and still part of this division.
The Beckham train is still on track with Inter Miami the top focus, as he continues his work in charity and are busy together with his wife Victoria, keeping their brand actual and in line with what is trending.
