Liverpool, Yellow, A third kit report

Liverpool will next season be seen in yellow with their third kit coming in this colour with a bit of red on the sides and as part of the style and design.

Looking at the past you have a number of colours used over the years, and yellow certainly comes to mind from the past as we have seen during their kit history with many changes being done.

Few might remember that The Reds from the start was a bit different, seen in a blue, white and dark blue kit, which in a way would have been great to see again as an alternative kit, but it will also be a difficult one as another club on the Merseyside are all blue.

Liverpool are of course in their traditional all red as their first kit, you also have a nice away kit in white with a bit of red and black pattern alongside, with their main sponsor being Standard Chartered and on sleeves promoting Expedia.

We have seen Liverpool wearing a number of colours in the past as alternative away or third kit alternatives, with the yellow bringing back all sorts of memories. The yellow has been seen from 1979 up to 1985, but also earlier as that colour first was introduced back in 1956, later from 1966 to 1967.

You also have other eras up to this date with latest seen from 2015 to 2016. A colour that has been familier for away and third kit alternatives. The manufacturer NIke do designs that looks modern and in line with the time.

We have seen Liverpool earlier wearing many different brands such as Adidas, Umbro, New Balance, Warrior Sports and Reebok, with players identified and iconized in these shirts.

We have seen great players such as Kenny Dalglish, Steve McManaman, John Barnes, Steven Gerrard and to again see the likes of Salah, Mane and van Dijk among others this season i yellow could of course bring back good memories from the past.

We will most certainly see the yellow kit in games v. opponents in the stripes of red and white, such as Sheffield United, Stoke City, Southampton, Sunderland and maybe in Europe playing PSG, Ajax or PSV among those teams, also in games against Barcelona, West Ham, Burnley or Aston Villa it might be natural to wear yellow.
