Chelsea winners of the FA Cup with Guro Reiten labeled “baby face assassin” as Norwegians enjoy life in English football

Guro Reiten, labeled “baby face assassin”, could lift the FA Cup trophy with her team mates this evening as Chelsea came out 1-0 winners vs. Manchester United. The game took place at Wembley in front of 77 390 attandances.

The game in itself became a tight affair between to two parties, in the end Chelsea were winners of the FA Cup for the third year running with a goal in the 68th minute, goalscorer, Sam Kerr.

English football transfer history, major moves, 1969/70, Allan Clarke, Martin Peters and Peter Marinello

In our update and transfers backpass we are taking our first deep dive back to 1969/70, as the massive season did see Everton win the league, Chelsea defeated Leeds in the FA Cup final, Man City crowned winners of the League Cup.

Looking back on the transfers taking place over that season it was no change as new transfer records were set, Allan Clarke’s £165.000 move to Leeds from Leicester got the ball rolling, Martin Peters later in that season moved from West Ham to Spurs for a fee of £200.000, as another money milestone was reached.

Marinello started his career at Hibernian,[4] and could play either as a centre forward or right winger. He was regarded as being talented enough there that he was dubbed “the next George Best” by the British press.

In January 1970, a month before his 20th birthday, he joined Arsenal for £100,000, a club record fee at the time. The acquisition of Marinello also marked the first time that Arsenal had paid a six-figure sum for a player. He went on to score on his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 10 January 1970.
