The Legacy of Barry Bannan: From Owl to Lion

Barry Bannan made a surprising switch when he joined Millwall from Sheffield Wednesday this January. He has so far been on the field for The Lions in three league games since joining on the 28th of January.

At the age of 36 he has signed an 18 month contract with a team chasing promotion to Premier League. We have never questioned the quality of Barry Bannan. He could also be on the mind of Steve Clarke as a potential player to bring to the World Cup.

He last played for Scotland in 2017, and to get back in would be sensational. He has so far managed 27 full caps, making his debut in 2010, 16 years ago. He has previously played in Premier League with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

Focus On; John McCormick

Bio:

John McCormick (18 July 1936 – 2 July 2017) was a Scottish professional footballer. Playing as a centre back, he made a total of 334 appearances in the Football League and Scottish League. He played for Third Lanark, Aberdeen, and Crystal Palace.

He began his senior career at Third Lanark from 1959 to 1965. During this time, he helped his hometown club to a third-placed finish in the Scottish First Division in 1961. In the close season of 1964 he moved to Aberdeen.
