Newcastle are interested in making a move for former Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, who left for Saudi Arabia in the summer. The Magpies might also have a go at landing Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in January after reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich have halted interest.

For financial prudence, Arsenal’s attempt to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford could be dependent on Real Madrid acting on their interest in Gabriel Jesus. Tottenham are targeting Uruguay international Sebastian Caceres as their first signing of the January transfer window.

Manchester United kit history as we remember George Best wearing the red shirt, white shorts and red stockings

Manchester United launched their new kit collection of 2023/24 in front of the season, seeing them in traditional colours, but for those remembering George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law, it could looked a bit different.

The early 60’s football kits were basically made to seperate two teams from each other, having a minimalistic look, as from earlier periods being in other designs and different looks.

Football in the Arctic Circle as Gaute Helstrup and Tromso with use of “Napoleon” are in reach of a League title and new life in Europe

Tromso IL is again fighting for glory in the top flight of Norwegian football, currently fourth in the table on 51 points, recently securing a strong 4-3 away win vs. 2nd placed Viking. Viking are just one point above, with Bodo Glimt, another North Norwegian club, four points in front, as they are the favourites to win.

But this story is about Tromso IL, with strong traditions and that special game vs. Chelsea in 1997, playing at home, as the snow at the Alfheim Stadium helped them to a remarkable 3-2 win.
