A grim start to the season has really turned around for Arsenal who are currently in that special 4th position looking to have hit bulls eye with the recruitment of Martin Odegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Both players have been outstanding in the climb of the PL table in recent months. The fact that the young squad of players and also fantastic form from Saka and Martinelli looks to have settled a team that can fly.

There are changes done by Mikel Arteta that has seen this team progress fantastically as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally looks to be out as the team looks much better without him in there and with Alexandre Lacazette really doing his job as captain.

No one doubted the talent of this squad but the problem might have been that no one really took the wheel as it should be done, but at the moment a lot of players have stepped forward such as Odegaard and Tomiyasu but not to forget Gabriel, White and the vital and key decision to drop Bernd Leno and give the gloves to Aaron Ramsdale.

We all know what Pat Jennings, David Seaman and Jens Lehmann ment for Arsenal as their presence really made a difference and Aaron Ramsdale certainly looks to be knocking on the door of Jordan Pickford as the first choice for England and to be top four you need a quality goalkeeper above the rest.

To take over a squad build up by someone else is not the easiest as you have a job to sort out the keys to your teams performance and how to get it all to gell. Sometimes big decissions must be made and that could not always be based on football in it self but different other reasons.

We do see a squad of players that could lift trophies and go certain places with Arsenal again in a year or two becoming title contenders and don’t be surprised if you will see them in a final of the big tournaments of European football.

A player certainly also to recognize is Emile Smith-Rowe who has grown into a full international making his debut for England vs Albania in November and following up with a goal in the 10-0 smashing of San Marino. Of course not to forget Ben White, what a coupe.

The next step will certainly appear soon and that is to really take on the trio in front and of course keep other contenders below as poinst are picked up going forward.
