How foreign managers have helped England progress as an international team to count, Southgate and his helping hands

The recent rise of Three Lions might not just have to do with brilliant coaching from Gareth Southgate, but the influence of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Mikel Arteta and Marcelo Bielsa must not be faulted as the grand use of foreign management in Premier League have of course a big influence on players.

Kyle Walker described it himself in an interview lately saying him being adaptable to play in a back three has to do with the way he has learned from Pep’s coaching and skills.

England players are mostly picked from clubs trained and managed by these foreign men as they also work with players on a daily basis taking it all in and of course bringing that skills with them into the England set up.

Ralf Rangnick will also bring ideas in after OGS who might also be seen as a foreign man as he is Norwegian but his upbringing and thoughts of football are more influenced by British terms that the other group, will be interesting to see how Rangnick will work with his players going forward.

Marcelo Bielsa has also given a dimention as Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips both have been part of the England squad and Phillips playing a major role in the new set up with him bringing in his new ideas to the England team which is in good progress.

Gareth Southgate build on this as his team gets a more aggressive look at can penetrate from every angle of the field as the future looks heavily bright with so many new and exciting talents coming through as we all know England are among the very best in this area as the talent and youth work has gone through a revelution in the last ten years of English football.
