Barcelona looks certain winners in the Primera race this season. Goals from Suarez, Messi and Pique secured the win in their 3-1 win at home to Rayo yesterday. This was a must win against a team struggling in the relegation zone.

Ernesto Valverde fielded a team in a 4-3-3 formation and had no problem over 90 minutes to win this battle, despite Rayo making it look a bit difficult after taking the lead in the 24th minute.

Phlippe Coutinho was in the starting 11, and played until the 80th minute when Rakitic came for him. Valverde made it obvious that he looked at this game as a chance for players who not is regular to play.

Barcelona will be up against Lyon midweek in the Champions League and for Valverde it will be of great importance to field a team perfect for this clash. It all looks as a task possbile with a 0-0 draw from the first clash away.

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi scores goals almost in every match and so far this season the tally is 17 + 26, with Messi really impressive scoring those goals in only 25 appearances.

There are so much quality in the Barca squad so to see any other outcome than a win against Lyon will be difficult. A new interesting game in the Primera comes up next weekend against Real Betis and then the derby against Espanol is next.

Valverde looks on track for the rest of the season and hopefully his team will just do what everyone expect and a number of new trophies could find the way to Camp Nou.
