Unai Emery could consider adding a couple of players to his squad, with the injuries of Koscielny and Socratis it might be a possibility that one or two new players could come in just before the close.
Nothing has happened so far, and the rumor Ivan Perisic is in the air, with a possible move out for Mezut Ozil, but if he would join Inter Milan is a quesiton not answered.
Other players to be mentioned are Denis Suarez and Christopher Nkonku. Hector Bellerin was joined by Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis in the injury room, all expected to be out for a longer period.
So why Emery is looking for reinforcement up front and in midfield at this moment is difficult to understand. Would rather see a few loans of experienced players happening. So who could come in on short notice.
Gary Cahill has been linked with a move to Fulham or West Ham, and also Crystal Palace has been seen as a new destination, but with Arsenal short of quality central defenders, we would not rule out Cahill as a target, just hours before the window shots.
As we speak Suarez looks close to his possible Arsenal move and heading to The Emirates for his supposed medical. Not confirmed yet but the 25 year old previous Man City player could be the next big move happening at Arsenal.
Christian Bailly of Manchester United is another name listed as a possible transfer happening as he is seeking a more permanent playing situation than the one he now is experiencing under new caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
We will just wait and see if Emery will do any deals either in or out, the only move registered so far is Emliano Martinez who has left for a loan spell at Reading.
