More and more
clubs confirm transfers as July goes by and the transfer window is
still very much open
Burnley adds quality to their squad day by day, the recent new
recruit is Jack Cork who came from Swansea for a fee of £ 10
million. This shows how much the fees has inflated lately with a
club on the size of Burnley can spend £ 10 million on a player.
Wayne Rooney is back where it all started at Everton. After a long
life at Manchester United it was clear during last season that
Rooney no longer was part of the long term plans at Old Trafford. A
two year deal is what counts now for Rooney back at Goodison.
Jamez Rodrigues who lost his first team place at Real Madrid will
play for Bayern Munich in the next two seasons. Rodriguez was linked
with both Manchester clubs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, but
Bayern became his option.
Ron-Robert Zieler is confirmed at Stuttgart. Leicester City agreed
to let the player leave after only one season with the foxes. He was
not happy to just be number two after Kasper Schmeichel. Stuttgart
paid a fee believed to be £ 3.5 million.
Marseille has taken back goalkeeper Steven Mandanda who spent last
season at Crystal Palace. The 35 year old goalkeeper joined Palace
from Marseille on a free and returns back in the same manner.
Romelu Lukaku is finally on board at Manchester United. A fee of £75
million was what it took to get the player to move from Everton. It
will be interesting to see how the Belgian international will adapt
to life at Old Trafford.
Chelsea confirm the signing of Antonio Rudiger from Roma. The fee is
one undisclosed, but it will be interesting to see how the German
international will adapt to a three men defence. Rudiger previously
played for Stuttgart.
Watford have made two new signings in Portsmouth's Harvey Bradbury
and West Ham's Sam Howe. They are two youngsters that will be part
of the U.23 set up at the club, and hopefully graduate from the
Mathias Jorgensen and Jonathan Walters are other players to have
made moves recently. Jorgensen is a new record signing for
Huddersfield. Walters will add striking power to the Burnley forward
line and be a great asset at Turf Moor.
