Hot in January, the end of the transfer window in burning fire

DATE: 31.01.2018 - SOCCERVOICE - BLOG - SEASON 2017-18

Few believed that prices and moves would happen as they have in the January transfer window, here are the hot moves so far

Manchester United has no desire to lose the battle in the Premier League, and their recent signing of Alexis Sanchez shows the detirmanation of the their approach. A great move from Jose Mourinho and hopefully one closing the gap on City.

Pep Guardiola is not waiting to respond and he knows that quality in defence is a key to the happenings towards the end of the season. The recent "mega signing" of Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao shows the determination.

Money received for Claudio Coutinho, who joined Barcelona, has not been resting in the pocket of Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool went straight out to sign their long term target Virgil van Dijk.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is not either resting on his laurels. Ross Barkley and Emerson are both joining from Everton and Roma. Arsene Wenger is also eager to close the gap and must be satisfied with the additions of Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan from Dortmund and Man Utd.

Daniel Sturridge is eager to show what he is worth when he is starting a loan spell at West Bromwich. A move that could kickstart his season and hopefully help West Bromwich out of the relegation zone.

Leicester are not either resting, with Claude Puel eager to trim his big squad and letting the likes of Ahmed Musa, Islam Slimani and Leo Ulloa leave on loan to CSKA Moscow, Newcastle and Brighton.

One player will most certainly be met with a lot of expectations when he returns to action for Millwall. Their former star Tim Cahill is back in english football and will at the age of 38 be starting a new adventure with the lions.

West Ham has under the management of David Moyes, experienced a rise in form. Moyes might have found his best team and so far only one player added, Joao Mario from Inter.

Tottenham and Swansea are two clubs who have not entered the transfer race yet, but we just have to wait and see in the late hours of the day if they will get into action. There are also a full round of PL games taking place tonight, so follow it all from netbet.co.uk.
