Liverpool in massive transfer chase, Arsenal linked to wonderkid, all transfer rumours

DATE: 11.07.2016 - SOCCERVOICE - NEWS - SEASON 2016-17

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not finished shopping this summer, with Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk a super target

Everton are in the hunt for several players after landing Wayne Rooney. Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is still one of his main targets, and the chase for Gylfi Sigurdsson will continue, with Swansea reported to be interested to sell at 45 million.

Inter winger Ivar Pericic could be joining Man Utd if the two clubs can agree on the transfer fee, believed to be 50 million. The Croatian international is one that could replace Anthony Martial who are in the eye of AS Roma.

Leicester looks likely to sign Man City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, but there are rumours today that could set the move in doubt. Tottenham are reported to be willing to take the Nigerian international to North London in a deal that could see Kyle Walker moving the opposite way.

Birmingham City are suddenly on the newspapers lips with Harry Redknapp in charge. He will do what he can to make The Blues a promotion candidate and juggle around in the transfer market, latest player to be linked is Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick.

Tottenham could be willing to let young midfielder Kevin Wimmer. The 24 year old Austria international has not been a regular at Spurs since joining from Koln in 2015. A return to Bundesliga or a life in Spanish football could be next for Wimmer.

Marco Arnautovic is a target for West Ham. The 28 year old forward handed in a transfer request at Stoke, which has allerted Hammers who could make a bid for the Austria international.

Aston Villa looks close to an agreement with their former "loanee", goalkeeper, Sam Johnstone. Johnstone (24) is on the books at Manchester United, but the England U.20 international looks far down the pecking order at Old Trafford and Villa Park looks more suitable.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks certain to keep both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez. They are also at the moment chasing midfield "wonderkid" Aymen Barkok. Barkok (19) has only played five league games, but in those five scored twice.

Manchester United were favourites to sign Alvaro Morata, but with the Lukaku move sealed, it looks more likely that Morata, if moving, will be heading for Chelsea and a life at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea on the other hand are willing to let Diego Costa leave.
