are out there and possible new signings are all grabbing the
headlines, but here are those of importance officially confirmed
Everton made a couple of exciting transfer signings last week, with
goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielder Davy Klaassen both
officially confirmed as new and fresh deals.
Klaassen impressed in the Ajax midfield last season, captaining the
club in the Europea League final. He has landed a lucrative deal
with Everton who had to pay Ajax £ 23,5 million for his services.
To see Everton also winning the race for Sunderland goalkeeper
Jordan Pickford is one to celebrate. Despite paying a fee of £ 30
million, he is probably the next England number one, and it could
happen allready this season if he continues his progress at Goodison
Leicester is eager to build on their fantastic Premier League
winning season by adding new and fresh talent. The signing of Hull
defender Harry Maguire was confirmed last week, and a fee of £ 17
million could if this work as well as supposed, be a bargain.
Maguire is still a young man and has the best of his career in front
of him. He is England potential and if Leicester City again rise
from their mid table life last season, he could be in for a call up
from Gareth Southgate.
Norwich made a move for Borussia Dortmund defender Christoph
Zimmermann and the deal happened. Few would believe that a 24 year
old promising defender with 34 league appearances for the German
giant would go on to play at level 2 in England.
The Canaries should be pleased with this addition who could be a key
signing in their approach to try to get back up to the Premier
League. Newly appointed head coach at Norwich, Daniel Farke, who
previously worked with Zimmermann, has probably been vital to the
Nottingham Forest confirmed the signing of Hibernian forward Jason
Cummings. The 21 year old Scot, could be the signing of the season,
if it works out well. He has scored 55 goals in 114 appearances with
The "big move" since the last update is of course Swede Victor
Lindelof who has joined Man Utd from Benfica for a fee of £ 31
million. Lindelof is a climber in football, and the move could be
one great for Jose Mourinho.
Brighton goalkeeper David Stockdale decided to return to
Championship football, despite being offered a new contract.
Stockdale will next season be playing for Birmingham after a move
was agreed a few days back.
Mathew Ryan will be the one, most certainly, to take over from
Stockdale at Brighton. The Australian will be "one to watch" as he
is a player that can get a save to look fantastic. He was signed
from Valencia, and has earlier played in Belgium for Club Brugge.
