Liverpool could be close to a move for Monaco forward Park Chu-Young. The South Korean striker is keen to leave and Premier League football would be the ideal challenge, article continues

Roy Hodgson is waiting on an answer from Luke Young. The Aston Villa defender is wanted at Anfield, but Young is mulling over the move, not shure if he will be a regular first team candidate.

Fernando Torres is not for sale, but Man City boss Roberto Mancini has not yet given up hope a move with several Man City players believed to be part of a financial package.

Arsenal is ready to place a £ 5.5 million bid for Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti. Arsene Wenger is also keen to bring Everton defender Phil Jagielka to the Emirates.

Sol Campbell will sign for Newcastle and snub a chance to re sign for Arsenal. Campbell is believed to fill the gap after Steven Taylor who will miss the start of the season.

Stoke will tempt Man City with a bid of £ 8 million for Paraguay forward Roque Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is eager to find a club that can garantee first team football.

Blackpool and Bolton are both linked wth New York Red Bulls forward Macaoumba Kandji. Alan Gow could be on his way from Plymouth to Barnsley.

Cheick Tiote could be on the move to WBA. The Twente midfielder is currently weighing up a number of options and one of the could be a move to The Hawthorns.

Stoke forward Michael Tonge is a target for Derby. Derby manager Nigel Clough could then let his striker Rob Hulse join Blackpool.

Eidur Gudjohnsen is a target for Fulham and Birmingham. Maxi Rodrigues could be heading for the Anfield exit door, Espanyol could be his next club.

Twente right back Ronnie Stam is close to a £ 2 million move to Wigan. David James has not yet decided where to play next season, he is set to meet Celtic for talks during this week.

Israeli defender Dakan Keinan will join Blackpool in a £ 1.5 million deal this week. Roberto Donadoni is the latest name to be linked with the vacant manager job at Fulham.

Chelsea will have to pay £ 33 million to sign Benfica defender David Luiz. Ricardo Carvalho and Ashley Cole are both wanted at Real Madrid.

Sunderland forward Martyn Waghorn could join Hull on loan. Ryan McGivern could be joining Crystal Palace or Preston North End.
