Martin Jol looked certain
to take over as Fulham manager today, but there are still a few things
to sort out and Ajax will fight for Jol.
Man City is close to a £ 25 million move for Inter forward Mario
Balotelli. Balotelli has also been linked with a move to Chelsea,
but it looks as if Man City will win the battle.
Sheffield United are favourites to sign Ipswich defender Alex Bruce.
Liam Lawrence will leave Stoke and join Celtic in a £ 2 million
move.
Aston Villa could in the next 48 hours table a £ 10 million bid for
Celtic star Aiden McGeady. Marlon Harewood has a number of
offers including a tempting one from Rangers.
Joe Cole decided to join Liverpool after a talk with Steven
Gerrard. Cole could have joined West Ham or Man City for more money, but
now he is Anfield bound.
Algerian midfielder Karim Matmour is linked with Bolton and
Sunderland. Manchester can again be raided by Germans, with both
Mesut Ozil and Philipp Lahm close to Man Utd moves.
David James is a Celtic target and looks certain to leave
Portsmouth. Coventry and Sunderland were both reported to be in the race
for the England international but now looks out of the picture.
Milton Caraglio is now a target for West Ham after they missed
out on Loic Remy. Francis Jeffers could be given a dream
return to the Premier League with Blackpool.
Crystal Palace is linked with Ipswich midfielder Owen Garvan.
Robbie Keane is linked with a move to Fulham. The Irish
international could snub a chance to join Aston Villa.
Kaka and Rafael van der Vaart are both reported to be on
their way out of Bernabeu. Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool could all
join the race for the two stars.
Man City is ready to bring Chelsea forward Didier Drogba to
Eastlands, with a massive cash package put forward to both the player
and his current club. The move is far from a "done deal" and it will be
up to Chelsea to decide the destiny of their World star forward.
Juventus is reported to be eager to bring Tottenham defender Gareth
Bale to Serie A. Celtic thought they were close to signing Hull
midfielder Jimmy Bullard, but that is now far from a certainty.
The Cesc Fabregas saga continues and rumours about his dream
return to Barcelona will not go away. The player must put in an official
transfer request, but both Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola has made no
secret about the fact that Fabregas will stay at Arsenal next season.
