World Cup Update, Sorry, but not good enough, despite.....

A new disapointing World Cup is over for England. The team never really bloomed and Germany was too strong, despite the fact that England scored twice and came back from being 2-0 down, article continues

England stumbled against USA and Algeria, and never really convinced anyone about going far in this World Cup after a 1-0 win against Slovenia.

With so many stars in the squad you would have hoped for a better result, but it was never to be.

Fabio Capello got England through the qualification in a great way, and he decided to field most of the same players when the finals took place.

Everyone just waited on Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney, but they never showed the quality we have seen in the Premier League and the Champions League.

A young German side with a group of U.21's in their line up and with the "Polish Duo" up front, crushed England like an orange being juiced.

You can always critisise Capello for his squad selection, but it was down to a couple of mistakes and a fact that he wanted to field his best players.

Germany played with Podolski and Klose up front. None of them is playing week in and week out, but have a great rouitine when it comes to playing for their national team.

The big quesiton will always be, who are to blame when mega stars like Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney are just margins from a goal and even gets goals disallowed when they should have been goals.

England are out again, after another disapointing tournament.
