No need to panic, Capello and
England still in the race

England got of with a flying start against USA, but a terrible mistake from goalkeeper Robert Green stopped every hope of a win. This was not a perfect performance from England, but hopes should be high after a real domination against a team that can upset anyone, article continues

The first game in a World Cup tournament is always a difficult one. The game against USA could have been the perfect banana skin slip. England managed a draw after a great domination in 90 minutes.

England had their oppertunities and could have won the game with a large margin, but a well performing Tim Howard stopped everything after England's 1-0 goal.

Steven Gerrard was England's best player and he showed Fabio Capello that he can be one of the best players of the 2010 World Cup.

Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard never really managed to influence the game, but everyone knows what they can do if they get their oppertunites.

Robert Green made one big mistake in the game, but also had a real match winning save in the 2nd half. Green is first choice and Capello will probably not axe his goalkeeper for the next game.

Glen Johnson made a solid performance and showed that his offensive skills can be a great weapon for England in future games.

Peter Crouch and Emile Heskey made good performances and both players will contribute with their strengths and physics in a team that could flourish.

USA is the team to fear in this group, described as the best since The Beatles.

The big question for England manager Fabio Capello is how England will cope with their injury problems and lack of cover in the squad.
