World Cup Update, Maradona,
North Korea and Three Lions

Diego Maradona will lead Argentina in this World Cup, and by many described as the top star of the tournament. North Korea is playing in the World Cup for the first time since 1966, and we all remember how well Three Lions did 44 years ago, article continues

The World Cup 2010 has started. The opening game between South Africa and Mexico ended 1-1. France and Uruguay also drew (0-0) and hopefully the opening game will be the example of what will follow next.

Diego Maradona looks good and when asked by former Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar on a news conference today if Messi will shine like he did in 1986, Maradona replied that he would love to see, with all is heart, that "Leo" would become the star of the tournament.

North Korea is back at the World Cup stage for the first time since those fantastic days in 1966. If they can repeat what they did 44 years ago it would be a great sensation. The thrill is to see if they will manage to shock the World for a 2nd time.

Three Lions will play their opening game against USA tomorrow and everyone expects Capello's men to win. But it will be against a team that no one can take for granted.

England willl be without Rio Ferdinand, their captain, and they must depend on John Terry in defence, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in midfield and hope for Wayne Rooney to score the goals needed.

North Korea is back, Maradona is back, and England have a team that can go all the way. No one should underestimate Fabio Capello.
