Manchester City will sign HSV
defender Jerome Boateng. The German international has been a
target for some time now. Manchester City is also in the race for
Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar.
Harry Redknapp has been mentioned as a shock candidate for
Liverpool. But it looks as if Roy Hodgson is first choice, with
Mark Hughes and Luis van Gaal also in the picture.
Arsenal will be next for Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole. Cole has
been linked with a number of clubs after it was clear that he wanted a
move away from Stamford Bridge.
Martin Petrov is likely to leave Man City and jump at a chance to
play for Bolton Wanderers. David Wheater could be on his way from
Middlesbrough to West Ham.
Joe Ledley is a wanted man at the moment. The Welsh international
is a target for Stoke, Celtic, Everton, Fulham and Blackburn.
Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham) and Carlton Cole (West Ham) are
both wanted at Stoke. Tony Pulis will make a formal bid for both players
and try to tempt them to join him at Britannia.
Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has lately denied rumours about
him joining Arsenal, but today the rumours are back and it looks as if
the Australian international have a future at The Emirates.
Manchester City will race their bid for James Milner, but are not
ready to go higher than £ 25 million. Sunderland looks favourites to
sign Aston Villa defender Luke Young.
Everton manager David Moyes is one of many on Liverpool's
candidate list to be the next "gaffer" at Anfield. Birmingham forward
Kevin Phillips will stay at St Andews for one more season.
Chelsea and Manchester City will both try to sign Liverpool forward
Fernando Torres. Torres could leave Liverpool if the price goes
above £ 70 million.
