Sven would love to be in
charge at Anfield

Liverpool will in a few weeks time be closer to a decission on who they manager will be next season. Mark Hughes is mentioned as a possible candidate, today Sven Goran Eriksson is named as one of them that would love the chance to be in charge at Anfield, article continues

Eriksson is of course a candidate worth to consider and the former England and Manchester City manager would certainly be one that could do a great job.

Sven is a Liverpool fan in heart and he used to follow his favourite team from the terraces at Anfield, long before he became famous in football.

Sven has since leaving his post at Manchester City been in charge of Mexico and been director of football at Notts County. He left Notts County last season and is now in charge of the Ivory Coast.

Sven is currently preparing his team for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa and a good tournement with the Ivory Coast would of course strengthen his chances.

Sven is known in Scandinavia for his support for Liverpool and the way he made IFK Gothenburg a top European team was based on a number of ideas picked up from the Liverpool base.

IFK was a fairytail and the players he worked with were mostly either from Gothenburg or unknown clubs in Sweden. He picked talent and put them together in a strong team and all the pieces in the jigsaw fitted perfectly.

Eriksson is available, so is Mark Hughes and both are experienced enough and have the credentials to do a good job at Anfield.
