Mark Hughes is the latest name to be linked with the vacant position at Liverpool. Kenny Dalglish is also mentioned as a possible candidate, but so far he has only been approached with the task to find the next manager for the club, article continues

Diego Forlan is a target for Tottenham, and reports are that Harry Redknapp is ready to splash out
£ 20 million for the Uruguay international currently with Atletico Madrid.

Sochaux will sign Portsmouth forward John Utaka. Utaka will join the French club for a fee believed to be £ 2 million.

Steve Simonsen could be in line for a move to Sheffield United. The former Tranmere and Everton goalkeeper will join Blades from Stoke.

Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure is desperate to join Manchester City. Touer has also been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.

Chris Coleman could be the next manager at Crystal Palace. Hull could decide this week if they will appoint Paul Hart as their next manager.

Richard Chaplow is on the verge of a move to Blackpool. Liam Lawrence is desperate to leave Stoke with Celtic, Wigan and Middlesbrough reported to be interested.

Maicon will not join Manchester City, the only option for the Brazilian international is Real Madrid. Jonathan Spector and Matthew Upson can both leave West Ham.

Palermo forward Fabrizio Miccoli is linked with a move to Birmingham. Stoke and Birmingham can forget about signing Newcastle's Andy Carroll.

Dario Srna is a target for Chelsea. Shaktar Donetsk could cash in £ 14 million, if Chelsea decides to act and buy the Croatian international.
