Jose Mourinho has over the years shown why he is such a fantastic
manager. He has learned the trade and taken one step at the time. During
the years he has mixed the abillity of knowledge, learning and self
belief into magic.
He did a fantastic job at Chelsea and now with Inter he is close to
reaching the Champions League final and at the same time win the serie
A, but his work at FC Porto makes him special.
He likes to title himself "The Special One" and he can do that with
pride. His abillity to build teams is unique and he makes his teams
balance in a magic way.
The way he build up his team at Chelsea was special and he mixed former
signings done by previous managers with that special "tonic".
Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, Peter Cech and Arjen Robben were all
signed by Mourinho and mixed into a team with Lampard, Terry and Cole.
Ashley Cole also joined the club while Mourinho was at the club.
We all remember the way he did the business with Ashley Cole. He wanted
the player and in some way he managed to sign the England international.
Tempting players with hope and money is always working well. The fact
that Carlo Ancelotti is close to win the Premier League this season with
most of the players that also were around during Mourinho's time says it
all.
Inter had the best players in Italy when Mourinho arrived. But the job
was not finished to manage to win the Champions League. A new type of
players were needed and some had to go.
He let Ibrahimovic leave for Barcelona and in return he got Samuel Eto'o.
He managed to sign Wesley Schneider which also is a player with
international routine and a long life in the Champions League circus.
Real Madrid will do what they can to get Mourinho, but will the
Portugese be able to turn the Spanish giant into an unbeatable team in
football.
