Former Tottenham misfits to find new life under Redknapp

Heurelho Gomes and Roman Pavlyuchenko arrived at White Hart Lane in front of the 08-09 season. Their start at Tottenham were depressing and both players found it hard to convince Spurs fans that they had something to offer

Gomas was the goalkeeper Juande Ramos signed to become a contender for the top four positions in English football. Gomes had great trouble in the start and made some horrable mistakes.

Roman Pavlyuchenko played well in the Euro 2008 tournement and everyone believed he would be the right man when he arrived at the Lane. But his start at Tottenham is maybe the worst period of the forwards life.

Things have changed at Tottenham, and they are up there in the top this season and both Gomes and Pavlyuchenko are contributing well. Gomes has performed with great self belief and been a certainty in the Spurs goal.

Pavlyuchenko has scored some very important goals and his performances are up there with the best forwards in the league.

Harry Redknapp has lifted Tottenham from a relegation fighter and into a team fighting for honours and a chance to play at the very highest levei in Europe.

Who would believe that both Gomes and Pavlyuchenko are important players in the current Tottenham team. Fantastic to see how life can change when you work hard and believe in your abillity.

Redknapp is a great football manager and he knows how to get the best out of his players and that how to get great performances out of players with a great potential.
