Martin O'Neill and Aston Villa has not yet started contract
talks with John Carew. Birmingham manager Alex McLeish will try to rush
the talks by showing interest for the Norwegian international
News of the World reports that Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is
ready to seal a deal with John Carew if his talks with Aston Villa
stalls.
Birmingham is eager to bolster their squad with new and better players
over the summer, so that McLeish can fullfill the new owners dream of a
push for Champions League football.
Carew is a very experienced player with a life at clubs such as Roma,
Valencia and Lyon and his routine could be vital for any team that
either play in the Champions League or try to get qualified.
