Birmingham manager
Alex McLeish believes that he will be backed by his board to make
further moves in the transfer market so that he can push for a place in
Europe next season.
Birmingham has so far this season been a positive surprise. Tottenham
forward Roman Pavlyuchenko is a happy man at the moment and not
eager to leave the London club.
Bristol City has parted company with their long serving manager Gary
Johnson. Johnson was appointed manager at Ashton Gate in 2005 and
promoted the club to Championship level. He has also taken The Robins
into play-off's, but this season has been a disapointment.
Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has been linked with both Arsenal
and Manchester City and a reunion with his brother. But the player
himself has this week dismissed talks about him leaving.
Landon Donoavan is ready to return to Everton if the MLS players
goes on strike. Donovan has been a great addition for Everton and would
love to see him back at Goodison Park.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is eager to make the move for Alan
Hutton permanent in the summer. The Tottenham and former Rangers
star has done his job at Stadium of Light.
Hull forward Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink can be on his way to
Twente. Steve McClaren is ready to raid Hull for the Dutch international.
McClaren himself could see one of his best players leave, Everton are
currently chasing Bryan Ruiz.
Preston North End could sign Man Utd's Matty James. Darren
Ferguson could ask his "daddy" for players to bolster his squad at
Deepdale.
