The likely moves, January transfer window prediction

2009 is soon history and a new and exciting year is in front of us. The start of the year gives all clubs in England a chance to shop for a whole month, and here are our shopping predictions
 

Craig Bellamy is a hot name for a new move. Arsenal and Tottenham are both clubs that would like to see Bellamy in their squad. Man City dismiss every speculation about Bellamy leaving.

John Halmosi has not settled in at Hull and is likely to move. Leicester and Bolton are both mentioned as possible new clubs for the Hungarian.

Tottenham must sell to buy. David Bentley, Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko are three players that could leave White Hart Lane.

Bolton boss Gary Megson is reported to be chasing Real Madrid's experienced midfielder Guti. Guti has never played for any other club than Real Madrid.

Luca Toni looks set to leave Bayern Munich, He is tired of his life on the bench at the German club and are ready to return to Serie A with Roma the most likely club to join.

Kamil Zayatte is one of several Hull players that could be leaving the KZ in January. WBA, Leicester and Stoke are all reported to be monitoring the situation.

Robert Koren is on his way out of WBA. The talented Slovenian midfielder is not a regular at the moment and a new club could come in for him durng the transfer window.

Roberto Mancini's first signing at Man City could be Inter midfielder Ivan Cordoba. Cordoba is not a regular at Inter and his former boss could be keen to get him to play for him.

Stoke is ready to launch a bid for Leicester forward Matty Fryatt and is also reported to be in chase of West Ham midfielder Scott Parker.

Arda Turan is reported to be the next player to be signed by Liverpool. Benitez is ready to sell a number of his flops to finance the move for Turan.

Former Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu could be a target for West Ham. Gianfranco Zola is in desperate need of points to save his job at Upton Park.

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is close to getting Kevin Kuranyi to St Andrews. If Kuranyi decides to join Birmingham, he will be the best paid player at the club.

Asmir Begovic is a close target for Tottenham. Harry Redknapp is in desperate need of a good alternative to his number one Heurelho Gomes.

Preston North End has appointed Rob Kelly caretaker manager after Alan Irvine was sacked. Irvine could be replaced at Preston. Brian Laws and Darren Ferguson could be to candidates.

Norwegian international Erik Huseklepp is rumoured to be a target for Liverpool. Fulham and Sunderland are also reported to be keeping a close eye on the Brann Bergen player.

Thierry Henry is a target for Man City, but he is not likely to leave Barcelona before the season is finished. American club New York Red Bulls is also reported to be interested to give Henry an offer.

Andy van der Meyde is a target for Hull City. The former Everton winger is not ready to become a Tiger and looks for a chance to play back in Holland.

Manchester United will most certainly sell Nani. The Portugal international is likely to find a new club in Spain or Italy.

Benfica's Angel di Maria could be a target for Manchester United. Sir Alex is not 100% certain of his squad at the moment and di Maria could fit the bill to replace Nani.

Hugo Lloris is also a close target for Man Utd. Mirror reports this morning that the French goalkeeper could join in a £ 20 milllion move during January.

Arsenal target Roman Pavlyuchenko could be heading for Portugal in a double move which also include Welsh international Gareth Bale. Both players are linked with Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting Lisbon is also keen on a chance to bring in Zoran Tosic. Miguel Veloso will most certainly leave Sporting and join Tottenham.
