The italian job needed at Anfield, Aquilani is the one who can change Liverpool
-

Rafael Benitez signed Alberto Aquilani from Roma back in August. Liverpool fans had to wait until October to see their new Italian superstar in action.

Liverpool came close to winning the Premier League last season. A dip in form in the latter stages of the season gave Man Utd the oppertunity to pass them and lift the trophy.

English footballing experts and also Benitez himself believed that the chance would be even better this season with Ronaldo's exit at Manchester United.

The gap after Xabi Alonso, who joined Real Madrid, was supposed to be filled by Aguiliani. He joined Liverpool in the summer for a fee around £ 17 million.

Benitez new that Aquilani had missed the end of last season, due to an ancle injury and that the first months of this season would be played without the Italian in the team.

Liverpool fans are patient people, they are used to wait. They have waited for a new league title since that May day in 1990 almost 20 years ago.

Aquilani at his best can replace Alonso and with him, Gerrard and Torres all in the team Liverpool will be on of the best teams in England and Europe.
