Davies ready to copy Clough in a minor scale
-

Billy Davies was in charge of Derby and got them promoted. He was never given a chance to keep them up after losing his job at Pride Park after half a season in the Premier League. He is currently with Nottingham Forest and could get them up via the play-off's this season

A new adventure is in the making at City Ground and the proud club with a fantastic past could yet again experience the thrill of Premier League football.

We all remember the great days of the 70's, 80's and early 90's, when Forest was a top team with a certain Brian Clough in charge. Clough will probably never be abled to copy, but Davis could do it in a minor scale.

He promoted Derby, so did Clough. Davies is now on track to get Forest back up, something Clough did with Forest in the 1976-77 season. To take the next step, which Clough did, qualify for Europe and winning the league with both clubs looks miles away.

Billy Davies knows his trade and he will get Forest back up, if not this season, maybe in the next. It would be great for Forest fans to get a team established in the Premier League and they might be satisfied without winning the league and compete for European titles.
