Patrick Vieira is one of the players linked with a return to English football. A number of players could be on the move and below is our current update on the hottest rumours
 

Patrick Vieira is believed to be a target for Chelsea. The Inter Milan midfielder with a past at Arsenal could be the ideal signing for Carlo Ancelotti in his attempt to win the Premier League trophy.

Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano is also linked with a move to Chelsea. The Brazilian forward is known for his goalscoring abillities and could be available for a fee in the region of £ 20 million.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is known to be a keen admirer of Bosnian Edin Dzeko. Dzeko (23) is also a target for Manchester United. The Wolfsburg forward will be changed by many big clubs in January.

Everton manager David Moyes will have to make changes in his squad to be able to climb back to the top of the Premier League. Coventry goalkeeper Kieran Westwood could be one target, another would be West Ham forward Carlton Cole. Arsenal could also make a bid for Cole.

Cesc Fabregas could be on his way to Barcelona. The fact that Barca is losing the battle for Javier Mascherano makes them hopefull of a Fabregas return.

West Ham could try to tempt Luca Toni to Upton Park and Zola would welcome the Italian as the perfect replacement for Carlton Cole.

Goran Pandev will try to terminate his contract at Lazio and a move to a Premier League club is the most likely. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool would all be interested.

Aston Villa is eager to bring Jermaine Pennant back to England. If he decides to join Villa it will be club number eight for the winger.

Diego Forlan could be a target for Everton. The former Man Utd forward is currently with Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal and Manchester United could both be in chase of Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure. The brother of Man City defender Kolo Toure is keen on a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea players Dean Sturridge and Juliano Belletti could be on the move to Portsmouth.

Arsenal is reported to keep a close eye on Sevilla winger Diego Perotti. The 21 year old is available if any club is prepared to pay £ 20 million or more.

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish will be given a chance to bolster his squad in January. Nikola Zigic (Valencia) and Milan Javanovic (Standard Liege) are the top targets.

Hull City will try to sign Darren Ambrose from Crystal Palace. Rob Hulse could move from Derby to Wolves for a fee of £ 3 million.

Tottenham will prepare a  £ 10 million bid for Young Boys Bern forward Seydou Doumbia. Doumbia (21) is an Ivory Coast international and a player that will be to see in the World Cup finals next summer.

Manchester City could be willing to let Wayne Bridge and Micah Richards leave in January. Fulham, Liverpool and Aston Villa are all clubs ready to make bids for the duo.

Morten Gamst-Pedersen could be on his way out of Ewood Park. Clubs in Germany and France are monitoring the situation.
