The People reports
today that Hull manager Phil Brown is under pressure. The situation is
at the moment in the balance and news this morning are that Brown will
be able to stay on.
The club reached the top of English football for the first time in their
history when they were promoted to the Premier League in front of the
08-09 season.
Brown build a good solid squad, but has found life difficult in the
Premier League after a fantastic start last season.
The fact that Brown's job should be under pressure looks a bit strange,
and hopefully the owners at Hull understands what a fantastic job this
man has done and honour that instead of trying a short term strategy and
appoint a high profile manager.
People such as Alan Curbishley, Peter Reid, Gareth Southgate, Paul
Jewell and former Hull manager Peter Taylor could all be candidates if
the job as Hull manager becomes available.
