Daily Mail reports that
Leicester have decided to let Edgar Davids go. Davids was last week
linked with a move to The Walkers Stadium, but nothing happened.
Source close to the club said that Davids was at the moment not fit
enough to go straight into the Leicester team. Chairman Milan Mandaric
told the press yesterday that the foxes no longer would try to sign
Davids.
Newcastle sailed up as a possible new club for Sol Campbell, but they
are not interested in the former England and Arsenal defender.
Campbell left Portsmouth this summer to seek new challenges. He decided
to join Notts County on a lucrative contract but played only one game
before he found out that he wanted to try it out on another level.
Campbell has to wait to the January transfer window, before he can start
to play again, and until then he are chasing for a new club. His
approach towards Newcastle ended in nothing.
Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have given Campbell a chance to join them and
train during his "suspension". To join Arsenal permanent looks unlikely.
